Today I want to talk to you about a person who has converted his life into art from materials considered waste . Sounds great, right? Well, all we need is a little dissemination about this very sustainable way of creating and reinventing objects so that we all begin to integrate its values and potential into our way of consuming each day. We interviewed Lucía Bruni at HomeServe Spain, a professional Upcycler and reference craftsman in the world of sustainable design, and creativity applied to recycling. Both of Lucia's parents are biologists. She was instilled in her with respect for nature from her cradle, something that, as you will see, has marked both her way of living her life and her personal seal that she imprints on everything she produces.
That is why in her atelier, Lucia offers us a fusion between design, craftsmanship and sustainability that totally fits with the responsible and environmentally committed vision that both my colleagues and Middle East Phone Number List I put into practice in our daily lives. A distinction in her way of working that has led her to collaborate with the Celler de Can Roca restaurant in the RocaRecicla project, defining the design line and implementing the project with all the talent that you are about to discover. If you want to catch up on upcycling—a process by which discarded materials or damaged products are transformed into new materials and products of better quality or ecological value—pay attention to the words that this great expert on the subject has shared with me.
Salvador de la Casa: What does upcycling mean to you ? Can you tell us about your beginnings in this philosophy of upcycling and how it took you to Barcelona? Lucia Bruni: I came to upcycling in a very natural way. It's not that one day I woke up and decided to do it, it's just that one day I found out that what I was doing was called upcycling . It is truly impressive how many things are produced every day, for this reason I decided to dedicate myself to the reuse of objects, but without destroying them but rather changing their function. A compelling characteristic of upcycling —which is also part of Lucirmás—is precisely the creation of useful objects.
